$60,500 - $90,000

What will you be doing?

  • Teach engaging, standards-aligned lessons that build listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while fostering curiosity, creativity, and mastery of language.
  • Bring language to life through immersive activities, hands-on projects, and real-world cultural experiences.
  • Create an inclusive, collaborative classroom where respect, curiosity, and academic growth thrive.
  • Provide meaningful, timely feedback to help scholars continuously improve their language proficiency.
  • Model strong communication and emotional intelligence to build a positive classroom culture.
  • Use technology and manage classroom resources to support dynamic, effective learning.
  • Stay current with best practices in world language instruction and integrate innovative, research-backed strategies.
  • Celebrate global perspectives and ensure curriculum and materials reflect cultural awareness, equity, and representation.
  • Collaborate with support teams and remain informed about I&RS and Special Services to meet the needs of all scholars.

What do we require from you?

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) 
  • Must possess NJ certification in Elementary K–6 and 5-8 Middle School World Language Specialization or K-12 World Language Specialization by start date.
  • 2+ years working in an urban education setting preferred
  • Must have a track record of measurable success and achievement
