Job Description:

Note: Candidates must be open to at least 3 of 4 locations in the Greater Raleigh Area, including Cary, Chapel Hill, Raleigh and/or Wake Forest

At Wegmans, our sous chefs utilize their culinary talents and managerial skills to run the day-to-day operation of the restaurant operation and kitchen. In this role, you will oversee a team of cooks and passionate employees who ensure we are serving the best and highest quality culinary items to our customers.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the kitchen
  • Offer meal and recipe suggestions to customers to inspire them to recreate these offerings at home
  • Share the company vision with employees and ensure the team is maximizing efficiencies
  • Ensure items are prepared with consistency, high-quality and stand out to customers
  • Create excitement and educate others about new programs at Wegmans

Requirements

  • Experience working as a lead cook
  • Supervisor/leadership experience

Preferred Experience

  • Experience cooking different types of cuisines in a professional setting
  • Experience working with a multi-faceted food service facility, including restaurant, hotel, country club, conference center, etc.
