Summary:
The Sourcing Optimisation Manager will play a pivotal role within the SATIC Sourcing Optimisation Centre of Excellence, owning the end-to-end delivery of medium to large-scale sourcing optimisation projects across regional and global clients.
Qualifications / Certifications required:
Relevant tertiary qualification
Experience required:
5+ years’ experience delivering complex sourcing, analytics, procurement or optimisation projects in a consulting or enterprise environment.
Demonstrated experience in project ownership – managing scope, timelines, risks and multiple stakeholders.
Strong understanding of sourcing and procurement processes, including tendering, evaluation, negotiation and value tracking.
Proven experience using Coupa Sourcing Optimisation or other optimisation platforms (e.g. Trade Extensions, Keelvar, Jaggaer ASO).
Strong analytical capability, including scenario modelling, data interpretation and insight generation.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to senior client audiences.
Responsibilities of role:
Key Responsibilities
1. Project & Engagement Management
Own end-to-end delivery of sourcing optimisation projects, from initiation and scoping through to event execution, optimisation analysis and client read‑outs.
Develop and manage project plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines across multiple concurrent engagements.
Act as the primary point of accountability for project outcomes, ensuring delivery is on time, audit‑ready and aligned to SATIC standards and methodology.
Track and manage project performance KPIs, including savings, value levers, quality metrics, and delivery efficiency.
Identify and proactively manage delivery risks, escalations, and dependencies across stakeholders and data readiness.
2. Sourcing Optimisation Delivery & Technical Ownership
Lead the design and execution of complex sourcing optimisation events using CSO, including multi‑award optimisation scenarios and advanced evaluation logic.
Translate business, commercial, and technical requirements into robust sourcing strategies and optimisation models.
Ensure consistent application of SATIC sourcing optimisation methodology across all project deliverables.
Leverage advanced analytics and scenario modelling to deliver fact‑based insights and quantified value outcomes for clients.
3. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner closely with client procurement and business stakeholders to understand objectives, constraints, data complexity, and decision criteria.
Facilitate client workshops, project checkpoints and governance forums, translating complex technical outputs into clear, decision‑ready insights.
Build strong, trust‑based relationships with client teams, positioning SATIC as a strategic delivery partner, not just a technology expert.
Prepare and deliver high‑quality project reporting, executive summaries and value realisation outputs.
4. Digital Enablement & Continuous Improvement
Advise clients on how CSO integrates into broader digital procurement ecosystems (e.g. Spend Analysis, CLM, Supplier Risk).
Stay abreast of Coupa product innovation, sourcing optimisation trends and analytics capabilities, applying these to live client projects.
Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency, automation, reporting and analytics within SATIC project execution.
Contribute to the evolution of project artefacts, templates and delivery playbooks within the CoE.
5. Team Oversight & Capability Development (Light Leadership)
Provide day‑to‑day guidance and quality assurance to Senior Associates and Analysts working on assigned projects.
Coach team members on sourcing optimisation methods, project discipline and client engagement best practices.
Support capability building within the CoE through knowledge sharing, feedback and on‑the‑job development (without full people management accountability).
Desirable skill sets include:
Exposure to global or regional sourcing programmes.
Experience integrating analytics, dashboards or automated reporting into project delivery.
Background in engineering, analytics, business analysis or supply chain transformation environments.
Familiarity with Agile, hybrid or structured project delivery methodologies.
