The Sourcing Leader role is pivotal in driving savings and efficiencies through Management of supplier base. The role supports owned China based Sourcing leaders and collaborates with GEHC Global Sourcing Leaders, SBU Leaders and their teams. The candidate uses prior experience/expertise to execute functional strategy; leverages in-depth understanding of business strategy to accomplish work. Has technical and analytical abilities to solve problems

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

• Develops and maintains business productivity metrics for indirect sourcing in China on Facility& Utilities.
• Implement Indirect Sourcing strategy for China region in line with global initiatives.
• Owns achieving Indirect savings targets, leading, and running project execution in China and supporting project execution.
• Responsible for risk management in supplier base ensuring all compliance and quality standards are met.
• Liaise with Global Sourcing leaders, Category Sourcing Leaders to understand /share best practices and leverage expertise within other SBU’s.
• Identify and own China cross SBU supply base. Leverage category contracts cross SBU (Imaging, LCS, Ultrasound, Service) to maximize opportunities.
• Drive business metrics affected by indirect sourcing, identify new areas of cost out and implement operating efficiency.
• Provide feedback and support to other sourcing leaders.
• Interface with SBUs and other GE Businesses on cross business projects

Quality Specific Goals:

• Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
• Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
• Knowledge and understanding of GEHC Purchasing Controls Procedure and associated Work Instructions and operates within them to ensure that all purchased product and services conform to specified requirements.
• Develop and maintaining of fully qualified and compliant supply base.

Qualifications:

• Formal sourcing qualification / Engineering degree/ and /or relevant master’s degree
• 8 years relevant experience in a sophisticated sourcing environment with minimum of 4 years of commercial sourcing experience, expertise on Facility& Utilities
• Delivered savings and deployed initiatives projects
• Shown ability to lead virtual teams
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of time

• Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments
• Great stakeholder management - able to understand internal customers’ needs and CTQ's and deliver them from the supplier base
• Can work in a matrix and under pressure against deadlines CTQ's and deliver them from the supplier base
• Greenbelt or Black Belt certification preferred.
• Graduate of GE leadership programs
