POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Audiovisual Engineering team. This technical role supports the global AV ecosystem that powers seamless communication and collaboration across the company. You’ll be responsible for the implementation, support, administration, and life cycle management of audio/video hardware and software, focusing not only on reliability, but also on automation, scripting, and operational scalability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with commercial AV technologies (QSC Q-SYS, Shure, Dante), video conferencing systems (Google Meet, Zoom), and converged IP networks, paired with a strong foundation in automation tools, programming, and infrastructure as code. You’ll play a key role in driving innovation, improving support processes, and building repeatable solutions that reduce manual overhead. This position involves full lifecycle project ownership—from requirements gathering and design reviews through deployment and operational support—and may require occasional off-hours work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  •  Own the implementation and support of AV technologies for deployment projects globally.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and AV integrators to design, automate, and deploy solutions that align with company standards.
  • Develop and manage scripts, tools, and automation pipelines for provisioning and managing AV systems.
  • Analyze, test, install, document, and support audio/video over IP solutions in a global, converged network environment.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support AV operations and upgrades in production.
  • Produce scopes of work, documentation (including AV schematics), and vendor communications for new AV installations or retrofits.
  •  Identify and recommend new technologies or automation strategies to improve scalability and efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of deployed AV configurations, including change history and versioning.
  • Lead or assist in root cause analysis and long-term resolution of AV issues; mentor junior engineers in troubleshooting and automation techniques.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, resource estimates, and product refresh schedules.
  • Serve as Tier 3 support for complex AV issues and escalations in production environments.
  • Travel up to 20% for deployments, testing, and operational support.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • QSC Q-SYS certification and strong familiarity with QSC programming and control logic.
  • 4+ years in a corporate IT or AV integration environment, with at least 3 years working directly with commercial AV systems.
  • Proficient in supporting video conferencing platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom, Logitech, and Neat.
  • Programming and automation experience (e.g., Python, Ansible, PowerShell) to build tools and automate repetitive AV tasks.
  • Strong understanding of AV over IP technologies and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with AV control system logic and user interface design is a plus.
  • Comfortable adapting to change and working in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Skilled in breaking down complex issues into actionable solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of translating technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Self-starter with a passion for innovation, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Bonus: Experience supporting live production events or hybrid broadcast-style setups.
