Air Liquide

S&OP Industrial Analyst

Calgary, AB - 54 Ave Full time

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Air Liquide Canada is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented S*OP Industrial Analyst to join our dynamic team at our industrial facility. This key role focuses on the strategic planning, prioritization, and optimization of cylinder assets across all sales channels. The position holder will be a critical decision-maker, collaborating closely with sales, logistics, and production to maximize asset profitability and operational efficiency for Air Liquide. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with exceptional computer skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Air Liquide offers innovative solutions - gas, equipment and services - in a wide variety of sectors, from oil and gas, mining, healthcare, automotive, aeronautics, metallurgy, metal fabrication to chemical and agri-food industries. Air Liquide Canada is the number one Canadian producer and distributor of gases derived from air.

You will have a key role in the planning and distribution of cylinders through our various sales channels. Your tasks will be divided into three main categories: planning, prioritization and optimization of assets. Working closely with sales, logistics and production, you will have to develop and prioritize in order to optimize the profitability of assets at Air Liquide. To do this, a large part of your tasks consist of setting up min/max parameters and respecting them. Subsequently, all orders will be approved by you in collaboration with the site supervisors at the level of industrial gas, specialty gas and medical gas. Monitoring will be done for more than 10+ stores and prioritization at the Richmond & Winnipeg Hubs/Plants. You will also have to set up performance indicators and evaluate inventory levels to maximize our operational efficiency.

Your analyses will have to be based on the seasonality of certain products and on the actual use of on-site needs in order to prioritize and maximize the service level (OFR). You will therefore be an important decision-maker for production and logistics in order to plan with our main distribution points the priorities between satellites / direct customers / depots and distributors. With regard to Air Liquide distributors, you will act as a controller in order to assess needs and require changes to maximize the service level.

In terms of asset optimization, you will also have to find creative solutions, take risks and make difficult decisions in order to increase the rotations of our cylinders in customers sites and to maximize our sales while reducing transportation and production operating costs with more efficient planning. To do this, you will be in charge of the asset return program with the account executive while providing financial conclusions on the impact of its fixed assets. In addition, you will be involved in acquisitions, openings / closings of depots as well as special projects (shut down, exceltop conversion / asset rationalization) and various improvement projects are ongoing.
