Sales & Solution Consulting at Brex

Sales is the growth engine at Brex. We bring in new customers, expand existing relationships, and drive the company’s bottom line. With unlimited territories and uncapped opportunity, your ambition sets the ceiling. We win together, celebrate often, and reward performance. If you want to sell a category-defining product with real ownership, this is your team.

Solutions Consultants at Brex are responsible for leading the consultative, value-driven sales motion.

This is not a traditional demo role.
SCs act as trusted advisors, helping customers:

  • Understand their current state and challenges
  • Reframe problems and identify opportunities
  • Evaluate Brex as a strategic solution

You will partner closely with Account Executives to shape deal strategy, guide customer decision-making, and ensure solutions are aligned to real business outcomes—not just product features.

What you’ll do

Lead discovery and shape the problem

  • Conduct structured discovery to understand customer workflows, pain points, and decision criteria
  • Identify key value drivers and align solutions to measurable business outcomes
  • Challenge assumptions and provide a clear, differentiated point of view

Own the solution narrative

  • Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations that connect directly to customer needs
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling business value
  • Adapt messaging for technical, business, and executive audiences

Drive deal strategy with Sales

  • Partner with Account Executives to develop deal strategy and influence customer decisions
  • Anticipate and address objections across technical, operational, and business dimensions
  • Participate actively in deal reviews with a clear point of view

Build trust and credibility with customers

  • Act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process
  • Provide guidance on best practices, implementation considerations, and future-state workflows
  • Help customers evaluate tradeoffs and make confident decisions

Navigate cross-functional collaboration

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, and CX teams to address customer requirements
  • Support technical validation efforts (e.g., integrations, APIs, security reviews)
  • Ensure alignment on solution scope and expectations for post-sales handoff

Where you’ll work

This role will be based in our San Francisco office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!

Requirements

  • 3–6+ years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, or similar customer-facing roles in SaaS
  • Strong discovery skills with the ability to diagnose business problems—not just respond to requirements
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience presenting to senior stakeholders, including executive-level audiences
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner effectively with Sales and cross-functional teams
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to create structure in evolving environments
  • Curiosity and a desire to continuously learn, improve, and refine your approach

Compensation

The expected OTE range for this role is $155,488 - $194,360. The starting wage will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. The OTE figure listed here includes base salary and commissions, which may or may not be earned depending on performance. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
