Are you someone who can:  

• Develop and maintain integrated architectural frameworks covering business processes, technologies, information, and applications. 

• Design high-level implementation roadmaps aligned with FirstRand and eBucks strategic objectives. 

• Lead and mentor architecture and delivery teams to foster a high-performance culture. 

• Champion eBucks and FirstRand values through visible leadership and active engagement. 

• Apply a customer-centric mindset to enhance satisfaction and deliver seamless digital experiences. 

• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to support innovation and integrated solution delivery. 

• Prepare and manage budgets aligned to tactical delivery plans; monitor and report on variances. 

• Oversee expenditure planning and ensure financial discipline within approved parameters. 

• Promote collaboration across eBucks, FNB, and the broader FirstRand Group to drive architectural consistency. 

• Ensure IT governance approvals for technology solutions and oversee HR digitisation initiatives. 

• Represent eBucks in IT Governance and Architecture forums to ensure strategic alignment. 

• Manage operational processes related to application architecture, ensuring cost efficiency and data integrity. 

• Deliver proof-of-concept solutions and prototypes; assess their suitability for business needs. 

You will be an ideal candidate if you have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 

• Proven experience in enterprise architecture, solution design, and IT governance. 

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities. 

• Experience in financial services, digital platforms, or loyalty/rewards ecosystems is advantageous. 

We can be a match if you have experience in:  

Enterprise Architecture Frameworks - TOGAF, Zachman, or similar frameworks for structuring architecture. 

Cloud Platforms - AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP). 

Application & Integration Design - API design and management (REST, SOAP, GraphQL). And Microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). 

Programming & Scripting - Proficiency in languages like Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript and Understanding of scripting for automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell). 

Database Technologies - Relational (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) and Data modeling and performance tuning. 

Security & Compliance - Identity and Access Management (IAM). - Encryption, secure coding practices, and regulatory compliance (e.g., POPIA, GDPR). 

DevOps & CI/CD - Tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Ansible. 

Networking & Infrastructure - Understanding of network protocols, firewalls, load balancers. 

Systems Integration - Middleware technologies (e.g., MuleSoft, Apache Camel) and Event-driven architecture and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ). 

Performance & Scalability - Capacity planning, load testing, and optimization techniques
