Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Team Leader to build, and mentor our Domain Expert team in South Africa.
This role is important to driving the technical and commercial success of Rockwell Automation within the region.
You are Senior professional with a blend of deep technical expertise in our portfolio and team-leadership experience. You will empower your team of experts, aligning diverse partners—including sales, global product teams, and channel partners—and promoting a compelling vision to maximize market impact and customer satisfaction.
The Responsibilities - you will do:
- Lead a high-performing team of Domain Experts, promoting a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability.
- Oversee the team's technical and commercial skill development, ensuring they maintain the best competencies.
- Empower and motivate the team to achieve challenging targets and company priorities.
- Align and influence with all contributors, including sales leadership, global product teams, and system integrators, to execute a cohesive business strategy.
- Promote communication between the South African team, the commercial sales team, and Global Product Teams, ensuring experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects and strategic alignment.
- Facilitate collaboration across the matrixed organization to resolve complex issues and increase regional growth.
- Leverage personal and team expertise to explain the value and difference of the Rockwell Automation portfolio, supporting main customer pursuits and strategic opportunities.
- Guide the team in analyzing competitive landscapes and provide feedback on product gaps and development needs to the global teams.
- Lead the launch of new products and technologies within the region, ensuring the sales team and channel partners are equipped and enabled.
The Essentials - you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience.
- Experience a technical leadership or team management role.
- Technical and application expertise in automation/industrial control systems, with direct experience in a commercial or customer-facing setting.
- Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects, with fluency in English.
- Understanding of business models, go-to-market strategies, and outcome-based selling.
