About the Role

The Solid Organ Transplant Data Specialist is responsible for collecting, storing, and tracking all current and historical data related to organ donors, pre-transplant patients, and transplant recipients. This role ensures compliance with regulatory and membership standards through accurate and timely data management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, verify, and enter external test results into patient charts and transplant-related registries.
  • Compile and submit required data to the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), Organ Procurement Organizations, and other registries within specified timeframes.
  • Document all data submissions accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Obtain, evaluate, and analyze transplant data for reporting and quality improvement purposes.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training through work experience or education.
    • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Systems Administration, or Medical Assisting.
  • Experience:
    • Required: At least 1 year of data entry experience (healthcare experience strongly preferred).
    • Preferred: 3 years of related experience.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with medical, nursing, and UNOS personnel.

COMPENSATION

 

Pay Range: $16.70 - $25.53 per hour 

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
