What you’ll achieve
As a Software Senior Development Engineer, you’ll be part of an agile Scrum team responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining embedded innovative features that empower customers to manage PowerMax at scale. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies, collaborate with top engineering talent, and contribute to software that drives the future of enterprise storage.
You will:
Design, build, and maintain Docker-based containerized environments.
Develop and manage Docker images, containers, and registries.
Work on Linux OS internals (SLES/RedHat) and troubleshoot system-level issues.
Implement and manage network configurations, including Linux firewalld.
Package software using tools like RPM, Zypper, or similar.
Configure and manage hypervisors (KVM, Xen, VMware).
Collaborate in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Mentor and guide junior team members when required.
Ensure high availability using SLES HA or clustering software.

Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in CS/EC/EE with 5–8 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux OS internals, Perl, Python, and shell scripting.
Expertise in Docker (images, containers, volumes, networking). Excellent understanding of Enterprise Linux internals.
Networking knowledge and experience with Linux firewalld. Experience with software packaging tools (RPM, Zypper).
Knowledge of KVM/Xen/VMware or similar hypervisors. Good troubleshooting skills and ability to work across teams.
Desirable Requirements
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines. Experience with SuSE KIWI or similar tools for creating Docker images/vApps.
Familiarity with SLES HA or clustering solutions. Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
