As a Software Sales Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge solutions to strategic clients, helping them solve real business challenges and achieve measurable results. You’ll manage the entire sales cycle, collaborate with talented colleagues, and build lasting relationships with customers across multiple industries.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate a deep understanding of HP’s software solutions, industry trends, and the competitive landscape to effectively position offerings and articulate value to potential clients.
Engage with clients to design and present customized solutions for their unique business needs, collaborating with product experts and engineers.
Prepare tailored proposals and quotes, including pricing, terms, and contract details, to drive revenue growth and support successful deal closure.
Focus on client retention by identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services to existing clients.
Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to gain insights into customer behavior, preferences, and sales patterns, supporting the development of effective sales strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including marketing, product development, and customer support—to ensure seamless and positive customer experiences.
Gather and relay feedback from clients to internal teams, helping to refine existing offerings and guide the development of new products or features.
Work with external partners to enhance sales opportunities and deliver added value to clients.
Stay informed about industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring all sales activities are compliant and up to date.
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in technical selling,
ideally in software, cybersecurity, cloud, or SaaS.
Qualifications:
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage complex sales cycles and influence executive-level stakeholders.
Strong business acumen and a passion for technology.
Experience working with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
Adaptability, initiative, and a growth mindset.
Proficiency in CRM and data-driven decision-making.
Fluent in English (Spanish or Portuguese a plus).
