Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Lead and develop teams of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, support and high performance.
Mentorship: Coach and mentor team members with their career development.
Operational Excellence: Develop and enforce best practices in engineering processes to enhance overall operational performance.
Project Management: Oversee the delivery of high-priority, complex technical initiatives.
Strategic Execution: Provide updates to the leadership team on team progress, risks and issues.
Education: MSc or BSc degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a related technical engineering discipline.
Experience: Proven experience and knowledge of the software development process and Agile/Scrum practices.
Communication Skills: Excellent English language skills allowing efficient global communication.
Problem Solving: Ability to identify roadblocks and drive them promptly to resolution.
AI Proficiency: Demonstrated eagerness to explore, test and integrate AI and automation capabilities into routine tasks to drive continuous improvement in engineering efficiency.
Compensation Advocacy and Recognition: Ability to provide fair recognition and advocate for appropriate rewards, promotions and compensation for team members, ensuring process transparency.
Technical Background: Prior experience as Developer, Architect or other technical role.
