What you will do

In PGIM, our Investment Accounting Technology team is a dynamic, fast-paced environment with exciting challenges on the horizon. We are looking for a software engineer with strong tech skills to help us build our next generation of investment accounting and regulatory reporting systems.

This position is performed in a hybrid manner with a mix of work performed from our office in Letterkenny, Ireland and remotely.

What you can expect

  • Develop strategic and tactical solutions for complex business challenges promptly, ensuring code follows latest coding practices and industry standards.

  • Engage in development using technologies such as Oracle SQL, SQL Server, Jira, Excel,  Python, Bit Bucket, and programming languages like C# and Python.

  • Power Platform, Dataverse, PowerBI a plus

  • Collaborate with:

    •  product owners to understand needs and define feature stories,

    • tech leads in defining technical design,

    • and other team members to deliver robust solutions with significant business impact.

  • Design automated testing to ensure system functionality aligns with scalable business requirements.

  • Design and develop custom solutions for system changes, including full stack applications.

  • Take ownership of production issues, analyzing and collaborating with relevant areas for resolution.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience. Preferred majors include Management Information Systems, Business Analytics and Information Technology, Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Finance, Economics.

  • Essential full stack development experience.

    • with Cognos, .NET,  Python, Oracle, SQL Server or similar platforms is a plus.

    • Power Platform, Dataverse, PowerBI, is a plus

  • Experience with agile development methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and familiarity with the Software Development Life-Cycle.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an ongoing basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges.

What will set you apart?

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric

  • Strong skills in Cognos/PowerBI, C#, .NET, and JavaScript

  • Strong experience in CI/CD Pipelines and DevOps
