You will join the Services Engineering department within the COO’s organization, as part of the Smart Services team. Our mission is to deliver intelligent, automated solutions that transform how NCR Atleos supports its global customer base. Smart Services leverages cutting-edge technologies to enable predictive maintenance, remote diagnostics, and proactive service delivery, helping customers reduce downtime and optimize operations.

You’ll collaborate with talented engineers and product experts to build scalable, containerized applications that power NCR Atleos' next-generation service ecosystem.

We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python development, containerization technologies, and SQL to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions that power mission-critical applications.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Python.
• Implement and manage containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) for deployment and scalability.
• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and database schemas for high-performance data operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and secure solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-5 years' experience in Python programming and related frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of unit testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest).
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational database design.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).

Optional Skills (preferred but not required)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
