Join our Risk Decisioning Platform team at Equifax as an integral Manager of Software Engineers.
Equifax has a hybrid work schedule that allows for 2 days of remote work (Monday and Friday), with 3 required onsite days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) every week.
This role will work the required onsite days at our Equifax office in Alpharetta, GA.
This position does not offer immigration sponsorship (current or future) including F-1 STEM OPT extension support.
This position is not open to third-party vendors or C2C.
What you will do
Manage a high-performing engineering team, overseeing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
You have the ability to translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
Drive the adoption of BDD/TDD practices, rigorous code reviews, and automated testing frameworks to maintain our "Equifax-standard" quality.
You are part of a community and participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards.
You have a real passion for innovation! Any experience with Cloud Platforms like GCP, AWS and Deploying and automating infrastructure/applications using Chef, RPM, Docker, AWS (ECS, ECR), Terraform, etc. will help us on our exciting journey.
You have experience in overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.
You may work with product owners, UX and other business partners to define work for the team.
You enjoy mentoring other engineers, having a voice in defining our challenging technical culture, and helping to build a fast-growing team.
What experience you will need
BS or MS degree in a STEM major or equivalent job experience required.
10-15+ years of total experience in software engineering.
3+ years in a formal management or lead role.
Proficiency with modern JDK (v11+), Spring Framework, and modern UI frameworks (Angular/React).
You have experience developing accessible technologies.
You are interested and able to learn other coding languages as needed.
You can write very high quality code that is robust and easy to maintain.
You have experience in debugging, diagnosing, and trouble-shooting complex, production software.
You adore working in a fast paced and agile development environment.
Detailed knowledge of modern Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
You have the ability to operate across a broad and complex business unit with multiple stakeholders.
You are a self-starter, highly motivated, and have a real passion for actively learning and researching new methods of work and new technology.
Ability to operate across a complex business unit, with an understanding of Total Cost of Ownership and the financial impact of technology decisions.
Sharp analytical abilities and excellent verbal/written communication skills to interface with both engineers and executive leadership.

Expertise in AWS, GCP, Jenkins, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Chef).
Source code control management systems (e.g. SVN/Git, Subversion) and build tools like Maven.
Big Data, Postgres, Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL databases (e.g. Cassandra, Hadoop, MongoDB, Neo4J).
Design patterns.
Software development best practices such as TDD (e.g. JUnit), automated testing (e.g. Gauge, Cucumber, FitNesse), Selenium, LoadRunner, SoapUI, continuous integration (e.g. Jenkins, GoCD).
Linux command line and shell scripting languages.
Cloud computing, SaaS (Software as a Service).
Atlassian tooling (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket).
Experience working in financial services.
