Zendesk is offering a 3-month paid, full-time internship in our Product and Engineering Organization based in Kraków, Poland. This in-office role will run from July to early October 2026, and the best interns will be offered a full-time position after completion.
About the Internship
As an Intern Software Engineer at Zendesk, you’ll collaborate with talented engineers across the globe to build scalable, high-performance products and services. You will:
Pair with experienced engineers to understand our technology stack and architecture.
Ship your code to production continuously and improve the experience of tens of thousands of Zendesk customers.
Use metrics and distributed tracing to instrument changes.
Gain hands-on experience with real-world challenges and cutting-edge technologies.

This internship will focus on building applications, enhancing your skills, and providing on-the-job experience to develop your engineering knowledge further. We value individuals who are flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn.
Based on your preference and skillset you’ll be able to choose an internship in one of the teams working in different different areas and using various programming languages i.e.: Ruby on Rails, Java, Scala, PHP, Golang (you don’t need to be proficient in them but have the desire to learn!)
By the end of your internship, you will have developed skills to become a successful software developer, including:
Problem-solving and delivering simple, elegant solutions to complex challenges.
Writing reliable, maintainable, and high-quality code.
Collaborating with teammates across different time zones and nationalities.
Working with a variety of technologies in an agile development environment.
Engaging in activities and volunteering opportunities with fellow interns.
Currently enrolled in a Computer Science or related degree program.
Preference for students in their penultimate (junior) year.
Basic coding skills in at least one programming language (e.g., Ruby on Rails, Java, Scala, PHP, Golang) and a willingness to learn more.
Authorized to work in Poland (Zendesk does not provide visa sponsorship for this internship).
Located in Kraków for the full duration of the internship.

The Poland annualized base salary range for this position is zł128,000.00-zł192,000.00. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position, the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives that will be communicated during the offer stage.Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
