Your Role as a Software Engineer:

Are you a Software Engineer who wants to work on a large scale to drive significant business impact?

Procter & Gamble is looking for people interested in software engineering to apply innovative technologies to business problems that require out of the box thinking.  Translates system requirements / user stories into a robust supportable design of code for the product / application.  Develops and tests the code to ensure it functions as designed.  Implements the code across the software development life cycle steps preferring CI/CD tooling for deployment and integration.  Deploys to production, monitors, and maintains the software to ensure proper functionality.   Add new features and fixes to the software as needed. Works closely with others on product, operations teams, and other systems that the software and services in which it integrates. Plays a role in architecture design of the application where applicable/appropriate (eg designing the cloud native architecture).  Continuously strives to improve the experience and performance of the codebase. Keeps up to date on the latest software practices, technologies, and vulnerabilities.

Job Qualifications

Your responsibilities could include:

  • Designing and building software solutions to business problems
  • Writing high quality, testable, maintainable production code
  • Infrastructure engineering, security engineering, architecture planning for new systems
  • Working with key stakeholders
  • Collaborating with third party technology providers

You are primarily a problem solver, comfortable writing code, debugging, and working hands-on. You can independently identify problems and their solutions. You are interested in continuously learning and developing your own breadth and depth of technical knowledge and its application. You have a solid foundation in Computer Science fundamentals. You take pride in the quality of solutions that you build and strive to make everything automated, testable, and scalable. You work collaboratively with others on your team and across different teams, are interested learning from others, and have a desire to share your knowledge with the broader internal software engineering community.

Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving skills paired with experience in programming, such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, etc.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to teammates and non-technical colleagues.
  • Fluent in Polish AND English.

Preferred:

  • Experience developing and deploying production software
  • A history of solving hard problems with creative solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with source control management tools (git)
  • Desire to write testable code, and the test coverage to go along with it
  • Understand CI/CD and DevOps philosophies
