This role is offered as a hybrid in Brno, Czech Republic. We are only able to accept applications for those based in the Czech Republic or who have sponsorship to live and work in the Czech Republic. 

 

What you'll do at Jamf: 

At Jamf, we empower people to be their best selves and do their best work. As a Software Engineer II, you will build the tools that help organizations succeed with Apple. You will work closely with an agile team to break down problems and apply best practices to develop and improve Jamf products. 

 

You will be part of a team building the backend systems that power Jamf Protect - a cross-platform enterprise endpoint and network security solution that empowers administrators and security professionals to protect their organization's devices and data. With Jamf Protect, you can create custom detections and policies that protect devices with real-time monitoring and blocking of suspicious and unwanted activities. Additionally, you gain access to Jamf-managed threat detection and response capabilities, researched maintained by Jamf Threat Labs, that secure your environment against new and emergent exploits. On Apple devices, Jamf Protect uses Apple's endpoint security frameworks, provides visibility into built-in security tools, and is optimized to preserve the Apple user experience 

 

What you can expect to do in this role: 

  • Break down customer problems into actionable work for you and the team. 
  • Own tasks end-to-end and deliver high-quality results. 
  • Mentor teammates using your deep product knowledge. 
  • Ask the right questions, solve problems, and build great software using engineering best practices. 
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly across teams — Engineering, Support, Product, and Cloud. 
  • Know when to reach out — and find the right people when you need input. 
  • Partner with Engineers, Product, and leadership to align on priorities that move the company forward.

What we are looking for: 

  • 3+ years working with Python. 
  • 3+ years building enterprise-grade software with solid testing and QA practices. 
  • 1+ year developing on AWS (preferred). 
  • Familiarity with build systems like AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild. 
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar). 
  • Comfort working in an agile environment. 
  • A knack for building trust and rapport with customers and colleagues at all levels. 
  • A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset - you thrive in a fast-paced setting.
