Title: Software Engineer II

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Individual is part of an Agile team that delivers small manageable deliveries that include design, development, testing, and end-to-end deployment. Individual is expected to collaborate effectively within the team.

The team is responsible for the deliveries. Individual should demonstrate readiness to do-what-it-takes to achieve the goals of the team by owning the delivery of new features to support client issues

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, and/or configure solutions for moderate to high complexity Agile stories independently.
    • Includes automation of tests and working with their team to sign off on delivered tasks.
  • Debug and resolve high complexity software bugs or issues working independently, making sure to find the real root cause and provide a fix without collateral damage.
    • Includes any automation testing to guarantee the issue is resolved and continuously validated in the future
    • Includes supporting escalated ongoing incidents/issues impacting customers
  • Leverage AI extensively in your day-to-day Design / Development of features, bugs
  • Independently create a conceptual design/architecture for medium scale software solutions with minimal guidance from an architect or more senior developer.
  • Assist in making source code management decisions for one or more teams.
  • Perform source code management tasks without specific guidance required from other team members.
  • Develop understanding of the domain, Duck Creek products and various features/configuration capabilities.
  • Maintain and manage existing test framework, automation/scripts etc. to help improve overall deliverables and release schedules
  • Develop understanding of how clients have configured and utilize Duck Creek products to help leverage the knowledge for future development and testing purposes
  • Able to deliver quality solutions for our products

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:

Education and Work Experience:

•        10-12 years’ experience as a Software Engineer at a software product company                                        

•        Computer related degree (e.g. Computer Engineer, Computer Science, etc.)                                  

Technical Skills:

  • Web Development                       HTML ,Javascript, Jquery, CSS, AngularJs.
  • Frameworks                                   .NetMVC, .Net core
  • Languages                                      C, C#.net MVC, Asp.net, C++.
  • Database                                        SQLServer, MySQL                                                     
  • Integration Technologies            RESTful API, WebAPI
  • CI / CD                                             CI/CD Pipelines, Kubernetes, PowerShell Scripting                                   

•      Should be hands-on/willing to work as end-to-end engineer deeply involved in writing Automated Test scripts using any testing tool/framework 

  • Demonstrated innovation/accomplishments within products work                                                      

•        Demonstrated proficiency in end to end SDLC best practices                                                                      

•        Understanding of test driven development and continuous integration/deployment              

•        Deep understanding of Agile development methodologies

•        Developed and maintained complete end to end CI / CD Pipelines  

•        Executed deployment strategies leveraging Kubernetes

•        Developed PowerShell  deployment scripts to automate various daily/regular maintenance tasks

•        Have intermediate understanding on AI / Generative AI / Agentic AI and should know how to leverage the AI tools and models – 3/6/12 experience in AI would be given preference over above

Nice to have:

•        Property and Casualty Insurance proficiency                                                                        

•        AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals Certification or equivalent other certification

•        Understanding / Hands-on on troubleshooting / Observability dashboards using tools like Datadog or Dynatrace and/or Splunk
