Join X Lab, a small internal incubator team within Axon’s Digital Evidence Management Systems (DEMS) organization that moves fast, experiments boldly, and builds AI-powered software with startup energy and Axon scale.
As a Software Engineer, X Lab, you’ll help build and launch breakthrough AI products. You’ll work on everything from rapid prototypes to production-grade launches, experimenting with how Axon teams build, use, and scale generative AI products.
You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, design, and AI engineers to explore new directions, integrate Axon’s emerging AI capabilities, and deliver software that redefines how public safety teams work. This high-visibility team will be recognized for delivering breakthrough prototypes and hitting key milestones that shape Axon’s AI future.
Location: This role is based out of our Boston, MA office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 120,750 in the lowest geographic market and USD 193,200 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
