About the team and product you will be working on…

The Developer Experience (DevX) team is dedicated to providing Drupal developers with top-tier products for building, developing, and operating. We aim to eliminate the challenges developers face when contributing, such as setting up local environments, configuring CI/CD pipelines, and updating dependencies. Our products are tailored for the Drupal ecosystem, focusing on enhancing developer efficiency, accelerating onboarding, and reducing time-to-market.

Comprised of experienced full-stack and Cloud developers, the DevX team is committed to simplifying Drupal development and mentoring newcomers by sharing their extensive knowledge.

We are seeking driven software engineers to collaborate on defining, designing, building, and operating robust, enterprise-grade Cloud services.

About the role you are applying for...

A Software Engineer's role focuses on technical contribution and team collaboration. They contribute to the design and architecture of software systems, write clean and efficient code, and learn from experienced developers. Additionally, they are responsible for understanding and addressing business needs, contributing to the overall development strategy, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.

As a Software Engineer, you will…

  • Demonstrate understanding of software architecture, dependencies, programming languages, design patterns, and frameworks.
  • Contribute to and follow best practices for testable, maintainable, and robust code development.
  • Act as a contributor, providing insights during code reviews and troubleshooting issues.
  • Systematically troubleshoot and resolve issues with guidance, while also contributing to improving CI/CD pipelines and testing strategies.
  • Prioritize security by identifying and remediating vulnerabilities with guidance.
  • Contribute to monitoring initiatives and utilizes metrics to enhance service stability, scalability, security, and performance.
  • Incorporate industry trends into projects and contribute to the overall technical strategy.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

To be successful in this role, you must have…

  • 2-4 years of experience in core software development, design, and implementation of fullstack microservices.
  • Proficiency in backend development with some UI experience.
  • Experience with microservices and databases.
  • Expertise in 2 of the following: Go Lang, PHP, Node, TypeScript/JavaScript along with their associated frameworks.
  • Experience with Kubernetes is mandatory, and experience with any cloud platform (preferably AWS), a container orchestration solution (like Docker), and DevOps tools (like ArgoCD/Jenkins) is preferred.
  • The ability to assess, estimate, design, and implement solutions with guidance.
  • The capability to work collaboratively, provide updates, support team members, and participate in code reviews and testing.
  • A willingness to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges.

You may get bonus points if you have experience with...

  • Demonstrated green field architecture, estimation, planning, detailing (RFCs, PoCs etc.) and implementation (High Level Design and Low Level Design)
  • Web security and compliance experience (e.g.PCI, HIPAA, FedRAMP, ISO/SOC2)
  • Operational knowledge of Drupal in a production setting
  • Hands-on experience with applied usage of AI tools - Agents, MCP Server, Copilot etc.
  • Kubernetes Operators: operator-sdk using Go Lang
