We are looking for a passionate Software Development Specialist to develop advanced PLC and software solutions supporting Baxter’s global manufacturing operations. You will join a cross‑functional team that designs, builds, and commissions innovative automated equipment essential to producing life‑saving products for patients worldwide.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Develop PLC software (Rockwell, Siemens) and automation control systems.
  • Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and external partners to ensure full machine functionality.
  • Develop HMI/SCADA systems and configure industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, Ethercat).
  • Integrate robots (ABB, Fanuc, Staubli) and vision systems.
  • Analyze data to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Support machine start-up, testing, training, and troubleshooting on-site.
  • Travel domestically and internationally (up to 40%).

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Automation or related Engineering fields.
  • 3–5 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
  • Knowledge of motion control, electrical/pneumatic systems, and CFR21 Part 11.
  • Experience with ISO/ANSI/GAMP5 documentation standards.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • English B2+ and Italian proficiency.
