The role

In late August 26 for 12-20 weeks, we’re looking for a Software Intern to join our Aarhus team and support real client and internal projects. This internship is hands-on: you’ll work in a collaborative, fast-moving environment, contribute to day-to-day tasks, and learn how technology, data, and digital experiences come together in practice.


You’ll rotate across activities such as research, platform setup, documentation, and product support, gaining exposure to modern tools, agile processes, and cross-functional teamwork. Throughout your internship, you’ll be paired with mentors who help guide your development and open doors to networking opportunities within Merkle.


What you'll do

• Support software and digital project work across research, analysis, testing, and documentation
• Learn and use internal tools and platforms to update programmes, workflows, and project assets
• Contribute to team meetings, standups, planning sessions, and collaborative tasks
• Participate in cross-team initiatives and help keep deliverables on track
• Engage in training, mentorship sessions, and internal events to build skills and industry understanding

Your experience

• Currently studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Data Science, or a similar technical degree
• Basic understanding of programming principles; familiarity with one or more languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, etc.)
• Comfortable using digital tools and willing to learn new platforms quickly
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Curious mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
