Software Developer

Job Description:

We are looking for a WordPress Developer (4–5 years experience) with strong expertise in custom WordPress development, including theme customization, plugin integration, and converting UI/UX designs (Figma, XD, PSD, Zeplin) into responsive pages.

Must have

The ideal candidate should have solid technical skills in PHP, WordPress Core, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and be proficient in building and customizing themes, child themes, plugins, CPTs, taxonomies, hooks, and filters. Experience with page builders like Elementor, Avada, or Divi is required.

Additionally, the role requires familiarity with performance optimization, SEO basics, security best practices, API integration, and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Good to Have

We also expect the candidate to have experience with:

Headless CMS

• Experience with Headless WordPress (WP as a backend + decoupled frontend)
• Strong understanding of REST API / GraphQL (WPGraphQL)
• Ability to integrate WordPress with frontend frameworks in a headless architecture

Next.js & React.js

• Hands‑on experience building frontend applications using Next.js and React.js
• Ability to consume WordPress APIs in a headless environment
• Understanding of SSR, SSG, ISR, and modern React patterns

Other

• Multilingual sites (WPML / Polylang)
• WCAG accessibility understanding
• Git version control
• CI/CD exposure
• Hosting & deployment basics

Responsibilities

• Develop & maintain WordPress sites (themes, plugins)
• Convert UI/UX designs into responsive WordPress interfaces
• Build headless frontends with Next.js/React when required
• Integrate APIs, third-party tools, and optimize for performance, security, and SEO
• Troubleshoot WordPress issues and collaborate with designers & developers
• Follow coding standards, documentation practices, and version control processes
