Your Impact:

As our social media marketing professional you'll be a driving force behind Freddie Mac’s social brand presence, transforming complex housing market concepts into engaging, accessible content that resonates with B2B, B2B2C and B2C audiences. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy, your social media, content creation and design skills together will help amplify our mission to Make Home Possible and advance our business objectives through engaging social storytelling.

Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute annual, audience-specific and channel strategies in partnership with the Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy.

  • Own the application and optimization of strategies across paid and organic social channels—including media planning, budget management, and ongoing campaign performance.

  • Identify new opportunities and trends to elevate our social presence and advance business objectives.

  • Stay ahead of platform innovations, market and cultural shifts to keep our content relevant.

Content Creation and Campaign Management:

  • Lead the creation, design, and publishing of engaging social content (text, images, video, audio) tailored to each platform and audience segment.

  • Own the social media calendar, ensuring alignment with editorial, PR, and cross-functional teams, and reflecting key business priorities.

  • Create visually compelling graphics and multimedia content tailored for various social media platforms, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and engagement objectives, using graphic design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Translate complex data and themes into visually compelling content, collaborating with our in-house creative agency for custom and template designs.

  • Build and launch paid social campaigns from planning, budgeting and creative development to launch, testing, measurement and optimization.

  • Ensure consistency in brand voice, look, and feel across all content and campaigns.

  • Provide ad hoc design and copy support to the team in managing day-to-day activities and special initiative logistics as needed and as bandwidth allows.

Community & Reputation Management:

  • Monitor and manage all owned social channels with a curious mind to understand what the audiences are responding to, sharing and need and mapping those insights to business priorities.

  • Utilize social listening tools to proactively identify trends and mitigate reputational risks.

  • Advise on content strategies to boost engagement and drive traffic to Freddie Mac’s web properties.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Connect performance data to business objectives, delivering actionable insights and clear reporting to stakeholders.

  • Support multiple business units with analysis and performance reporting across organic and paid social campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of hands-on social media management experience for corporate brands.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, related field or equivalent experience.

  • Proven expertise in content creation and design for major platforms (X, LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, etc.), across both organic and paid media.

  • Advanced proficiency with graphic design software and tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite) to produce high-quality visuals that enhance social media posts, stories, and advertisements, driving audience interaction and growth.

  • Proficiency with paid social ad tools—campaign setup, audience segmentation, optimization, and budget management.

  • Experience with enterprise social publishing and listening tools for monitoring and analytics.

  • Ability to distill complex, cross-platform data into actionable, strategic insights.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; experience presenting strategies and results to various levels of stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with project management tools.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Agency, media relations, or government experience is a plus.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $75,000 - $113,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
