Social Media Manager – Regional Lottery, Instants, iLotto/iCasino & Horse Racing

Do you know what it takes to foster and grow vibrant online communities while amplifying brand and campaign messaging through social media marketing, influencer marketing, community management and participating in relevant conversations?
We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Social Media Manager to be a brand storyteller, writer, editor, content publisher, influencer manager and paid social media expert for Regional Lottery, Instants, iLotto & iCasino and Horse Racing. The selected candidate will grow brand and campaign awareness across social media channels in support of brand and campaign initiatives. The candidate will lead social media plans and strategy with a clear vision to deliver a measurable increase in awareness, engagement, acquisition, and word of mouth. With experience translating business objectives into strategic social, influencer, and paid media initiatives that build brand and campaign awareness and drive results, you can create a targeted pitch or develop engaging social media plans that are complimented by paid media. Experienced in working with creative and paid media agencies, as well as social media platform partners, you are comfortable in a project management role driving the execution of on budget programs.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Director, Social Media & Influencer Marketing, you will be empowered to:
Develop, implement, and manage social media and influencer/creator plans and strategies for Regional Lottery, Instants, iLotto & iCasino, and Horse Racing including researching, developing and executing strong messaging, content, exploring and recommending new approaches where needed
Input to media and content briefs, including key messages, analytics, past learnings, and recommendations for organic and paid social media
Ensure social media strategies are on-brand, on-message, relevant, innovative, and effective in driving brand awareness, engagement, and acquisition
Work with the Product team and the Social Media agency team to develop monthly social media calendars for all platforms based on overall marketing calendars and storytelling focus
Be a key contact to support the Product team for their day to day social media asks and needs
Collaborate and align closely with the marketing, communications and product teams on overarching communications, campaign, and brand strategies
Track and record performance of spend against goals and budget
Provide analytics and measurement reports on current social media efforts and provide recommendations to influence future strategy
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME
Work Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in social media management, influencer marketing, community management, digital marketing, ad trafficking and reporting for large consumer facing brands. Experience creating social media strategies and plans for large consumer facing campaigns. Advanced writing and communications skills with a proven ability to edit content into text that is clear, consistent, and easy to understand for a variety of mediums. Attention to detail and the ability to work individually and proactively, within a multi-disciplinary team, as well as with external partners and vendors. Ability to manage competing priorities and juggle various communications and marketing initiatives.
Education: Degree or Diploma in marketing, social media, communications, or equivalent training and experience.
Critical Skills: Strong team player who is solution-oriented and has strong attention to detail. Experience working with agencies. Experience with social listening. Experience with social media community management tools. Project Management experience. Up to date on popular culture and trends. A keen sense of brand voice and tone. Actively enjoys connecting with and growing social communities. Constantly curious about emerging technologies and trends. Maintains a sensitivity to regulatory requirements as a government outlet.
