[What the role is]
We are looking for a passionate individual to lead and drive the implementation of NParks’ Community in Nature (CIN) engagement framework – a strategic initiative that supports nature conservation outreach and education through meaningful partnerships and programmes with diverse stakeholders. This role involves building strategic partnerships with stakeholders such as schools and community groups to co-create and co-deliver programmes that inspire lasting appreciation for nature.[What you will be working on]
Strategic Partnership Development & Relationship management: Systematically identify and prioritise high-impact partnerships with schools, NGOs, and community stakeholders. Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with key partners to ensure sustained programme success
Programme Co-Creation and Delivery: Collaborate with partner organisations to co-develop and deliver programmes
Content Development: Create biodiversity-themed educational resources, materials, and programmes
Citizen Science Programme Management: Support Citizen Science Watch programmes of taxonomic groups, ensuring programme quality and continuity
Workshop and Activity Organisation: Plan and execute workshops, programmes, and activities in collaboration with stakeholders to achieve biodiversity outreach objectives
Event Support: Contribute to major initiatives such as the Festival of Biodiversity, youth mentorship under Youth Stewards for Nature, and support volunteer training for biodiversity watches
Cross-Divisional Collaboration: Support other streams and initiatives as required, contributing to integrated outreach efforts for NParks
[What we are looking for]
Area of study in Environmental Studies, Life Sciences, Geography, or related discipline is preferred – with an interest in local biodiversity
A versatile individual who can handle both strategic planning and hands-on implementation of biodiversity programmes
Experience in developing and delivering public engagement programmes, with strong skills in stakeholder management and facilitation
Proven ability to create engaging educational content and resources
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously
Strong interpersonal, communication, mentoring and writing skills
Detail-oriented with good analytical capabilities
Self-motivated team player who can work independently in a fast-paced environment
Willing to work outside office hours, including weekends and public holidays for events and outreach activities when required
