Job Description:
Shape the Pulse of Tomorrow: Smart City Solutions Architect
Organization: Intel Critical Infrastructure, Federal and Aerospace Division
Is your vision for the future built on a foundation of connection and community?
At Intel, we don't just imagine a smarter, safer, more responsive world-we build it. Our technology is the silent, beating heart of modern civilization, from national security to the very streets we walk. We are now seeking a rare kind of pioneer: a Smart City Solutions Architect who sees technology not as lines of code, but as the threads that weave a stronger, more compassionate urban fabric.
This isn't just a technical role; it's a calling. It's for the engineer who looks at a city and sees a living, breathing entity that can be nurtured. You will be the bridge between raw silicon potential and the human experience, transforming cityscapes into places where communities flourish.
Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept:
You will be the technical visionary for our Smart City initiatives in the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. Your work will directly influence how millions of people live, work, and connect. You won't just be solving problems-you'll be pre-empting them, creating a future where technology serves humanity seamlessly.
Here's how you'll leave your mark:
- Architect the Future of Urban Sight: You will lead the video analytics roadmap refresh, defining the next generation of intelligent vision systems that will help cities see, understand, and act. Your designs will make streets safer for children, streamline commutes for families, and help first responders save precious seconds when it matters most.
- Set the Global Standard: You will benchmark our technology with other Intel experts, ensuring that Intel isn't just a participant, but a leader in shaping the ethical and technical foundations for smart cities worldwide. Your voice will ensure that the cities of tomorrow are built on open, fair, and interoperable standards.
- Bring the Vision to Life: You will lead the APJ demo engineering efforts, crafting breathtaking proof-of-concepts that turn abstract concepts into tangible realities. You'll build the hands-on experiences that make city planners and community leaders think of new possibilities.
- Inspire and Co-Create: Through customer workshop technical presentations, you won't just present slides-you'll tell a story. You'll stand before mayors, city planners, and community leaders, listening to their hopes and challenges, and then painting a vivid picture of how technology can turn their vision for a better community into reality.
- Your Legacy: The Next Generation of Innovators: Perhaps most importantly, you will step into a technical mentorship role for our APJ Smart City Engineers. You will be the guide, the spark, and the trusted advisor. Your success will be measured not only by the solutions you build, but by the brilliant minds you nurture and the leaders you help grow.
Who Are You?
- You are a technical expert with the soul of a storyteller.
- You get a thrill from seeing a complex architecture come to life, but you get chills from knowing that architecture will make a neighborhood park safer at night.
- You are as comfortable diving deep into video pipeline architectures as you are mentoring a junior engineer or inspiring a room full of civic leaders.
- You believe that the most powerful technology is the kind that fades into the background, empowering people to live better lives.
Join Us.
If you're ready to move beyond writing code and start writing the future, we need you. Come and build the intelligent, heart-centered infrastructure that will define the next century.
At Intel, your work will power the world's critical infrastructure and create a positive legacy for generations to come.
