GEA

Site Manager

Skanderborg Full time
Are you ready for a role where your technical expertise and decisions directly shape the success of complex projects? And are you motivated by leading on-site work, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality?

Then join GEA and combine hands-on installation work with planning, coordination and continuous improvement. And turn designs and schedules into installations that perform in real life.

Responsibilities / Tasks

At our office in Skanderborg, you will join the Project Execution function within GEA Liquid Technologies. The team works closely across disciplines, bringing together mechanical engineering, process knowledge, project management and procurement to ensure that each project is executed with high technical quality and strong coordination.

The team values structured work, open communication and shared responsibility, creating an environment where knowledge is exchanged and projects move forward through cooperation rather than silos.

As a Site Manager, you will lead and coordinate site installation activities and ensure that they are carried out in accordance with contractual obligations, agreed schedules and required safety and quality standards.

Working close to the installation and commissioning phases, you manage resources, follow up on progress and address challenges as they arise on site. You can expect more than 150 travel days a year across the Nordic region.

Some of your tasks will be to:

  • Lead and coordinate installation and commissioning activities on site, ensuring effective management of resources, schedules and corrective actions to meet project milestones
  • Supervise installation work at customer sites, contribute technical input through reviews of 3D models and documentation, and take part in inspections or supervision at selected workshops
  • Act as the project’s daily on-site representative towards the customer and key stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimise site processes, documentation and supplier quality practices
  • Adapt to new standards and technologies to maintain high-quality project delivery

Your Profile / Qualifications

You feel comfortable taking responsibility in a live project environment and do so with a structured and hands-on approach. With a natural focus on collaboration and quality, you balance technical detail with an overview of site activities and know how to communicate clearly with both colleagues and external partners.

Furthermore, we imagine that you:

  • Have a mechanical engineering background or equivalent technical education, including welding knowledge of stainless steel.
  • Bring experience from site management or installation work within food, dairy or related process industries
  • Have solid knowledge of hygienic and stainless-steel process systems, including piping and mechanical design principles
  • Are able to create work plans, schedules and site documentation, and supervise work on site when needed
  • Communicate confidently in English, both verbally and in writing
