Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with overseeing daily activities of field personnel and subcontractors on active job sites. Support the Foreman and Superintendent in coordinating manpower, materials, and equipment to maintain project schedules.
- Serve as a lead point of contact for employees on-site regarding daily assignments, workflow, and task direction.
- Help ensure all work is completed according to project specifications, company standards, and safety requirements.
- Promote and enforce OSHA safety standards, company policies, and safe work practices.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site inspections.
- Assist with training and mentoring employees on job tasks, equipment usage, and site expectations.
- Monitor crew productivity and communicate project updates, delays, or concerns to leadership promptly.
- Support inventory tracking and material organization on-site to ensure crews have necessary tools and supplies available.
- Maintain accurate daily records including attendance, progress updates, safety concerns, and material usage.
- Assist in identifying and resolving day-to-day field issues including workflow interruptions, material shortages, and operational challenges.
- Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and professional job site environment.
- Support mobilization and startup activities for new project locations as needed.
- Travel to project sites throughout the United States as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 3 years of construction, warehouse, logistics, or related field experience preferred.
- Prior experience leading crews, coordinating teams, or acting as a team lead preferred.
- Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem solve and adapt quickly in changing field environments.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and mobile applications.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification required.
- Forklift, scissor lift, or equipment operation experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Must be willing and able to travel extensively nationwide.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift throughout the workday.
- Occasionally required to lift, push, or carry items up to 50 pounds or more.
- May be required to operate equipment or machinery if properly certified.
- Frequently works near moving mechanical parts and active construction zones.
- May be exposed to varying weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, wind, and rain depending on project location.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including overtime, weekends, and night shifts when project demands require.
