The Opportunity
Join an energized team at Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN, where you will play a key role in ensuring products reach customers safely, accurately, and on time. As the Shipping & Logistics Supervisor, you’ll lead a dynamic operation that keeps our materials moving efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
In this role, you’ll guide a team through daily shipping and logistics activities, support the flow of goods across various channels, and strengthen relationships with logistics providers and internal partners. You’ll make real-time decisions that support cost-effective operations, improve service performance, and enhance the overall customer experience.

How You’ll Make An Impact
Lead and participate in safety activities, meetings, and risk assessments.
Coach team members on safe work practices and workplace inspections.
Ensure standard procedures are followed and address quality or freight issues.
Allocate team resources, maintain shipping reports, and update accountability boards.
Track shipments, resolve abnormalities, and proactively adjust plans to meet delivery commitments.
Collaborate with Supply Chain and Customer Success teams to support on-time order fulfillment.
Oversee inventory audits, resolve discrepancies, and utilize TMS for domestic shipments.
Lead 5S activities and continuous improvement initiatives within the shipping area.
Your Background
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping; logistics experience strongly preferred.
Experience with export processes, shipping documentation, and logistics suppliers.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Familiarity with TMS, LTL requirements, hazardous transport, lean methods, and 5S.
