Compensation
The compensation target for this role is: $21.50 - $25.00Job Summary
This role is Monday-Wednesday from 7p-730am with overtime, as needed.Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections of the warehouse to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
2. Incident Reporting: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine causes and recommend preventive measures.
3. Training and Education: Develop and deliver safety training programs for new hires and ongoing education for current employees to promote a culture of safety.
4. Emergency Preparedness: Assist in developing and maintaining emergency response plans and conducts regular drills to ensure readiness.
5. Safety Equipment Management: Ensure that all safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and personal protective equipment (PPE), is available, properly maintained, and used correctly.
6. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance audits.
7. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with local, state, and federal safety regulations and ensure the warehouse is in compliance.
8. Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to safety policies and procedures to enhance workplace safety.
Daily Duties:
- Conduct walkthroughs of the warehouse to monitor safety practices and identify potential hazards.
- Perform safety checks on equipment and machinery to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Review and update safety signage and labels as needed. -
Facilitate daily or weekly safety briefings with warehouse staff.
- Respond promptly to safety concerns raised by employees and take corrective action.
- Collaborate with management to address safety-related issues and implement solutions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional safety certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience in a safety role, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily works in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
- May be required to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods
Work Hours (Good Faith Estimate):
This full-time position is expected to work approximately 30-40 hours per week. This is a good faith estimate, and actual hours may vary based on business needs.
