The Position

As a SHE Specialist at Roche Diagnostics SAN, you will play a key role in maintaining and strengthening the Safety, Security, Health and Environment (SHE) framework across the site. You will support Roche’s commitment to sustainability, regulatory compliance and operational excellence by fostering a proactive SHE culture, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring alignment with global standards and local regulations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to promote safe, secure and environmentally responsible operations while protecting people, business continuity and corporate assets.

The Opportunity

  • Support the development and implementation of SHE programs aligned with Roche global standards and local regulatory requirements, ensuring strong collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations and Roche corporate directives, while supporting the adoption of digital solutions that enable data-driven SHE decision making.

  • Partner with internal teams, suppliers and strategic partners to promote sustainable practices and ensure compliance with local regulations, Roche requirements and sustainability standards through training, audits and ongoing support.

  • Collaborate with leadership on the Business Continuity Management (BCM) program, coordinating drills, training and maintaining updated documentation and contact networks to safeguard operational resilience.

  • Contribute to site security and the protection of corporate assets, personnel and data.

  • Lead initiatives to measure, analyze and reduce environmental impact, including carbon emissions, energy consumption, water usage, waste generation and resource utilization.

  • Design and deliver training programs to strengthen SHE awareness, build capabilities across the organization and support a proactive culture of safety, wellbeing and incident reporting.

Who You Are

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in SHE management, preferably within healthcare, pharmaceutical or diagnostics environments.

  • Strong knowledge of local SHE regulations in Argentina and ideally across Uruguay, Bolivia and Paraguay, as well as international SHE frameworks and reporting standards.

  • Proven ability to manage projects, influence stakeholders and collaborate across functions.

  • Strong communication, analytical and networking skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into actionable initiatives and foster a culture of safety, occupational health and environmental sustainability.
