Position Summary:
Illumina is seeking a highly motivated Senior ServiceNow Administrator/Developer with a strong DevOps background and a focus on AI-driven custom development. In this role, you will be a key member of an Agile Scrum development team. You will need strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support the organization’s growing ServiceNow platform via integrations, automation, and innovative solutions that align with the organization’s IT Strategy for Agentic AI and Automation.
Responsibilities:
Develop advanced configurations of ServiceNow components such as workflows, business rules, and catalog items to support business needs.
Keep platform updated via regular patching, upgrades and health scan resolutions.
Extend and enhance various ServiceNow modules (including ITSM, ITOM, SAM, WSD and HR), integrating with other platforms and systems to maximize value and efficiency.
Design and implement AI-powered solutions by using ServiceNow and 3rd party AI and ML Tools.
Perform code and configuration reviews to ensure alignment with best practices, health scans, and recommendations
Monitor and fine tune plugins to achieve optimum performance levels.
Drive a culture of quality service and security by design, recommending and implementing procedures to enforce security and regulatory compliance.
Perform assessments and listen to internal customers to understand and anticipate their business needs and determine their priorities in the context of the overall enterprise and strategy.
Provides analysis of problems while working toward solutions to technical issues.
Proactively develop and maintain technical knowledge in a specialized area, remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices.
Requirements:
At least 4 years in IT Development experience with 4 or more years working as a ServiceNow developer with extensive experience with two or more ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HR, and WSD.
Proven DevOps experience, including CI/CD, automation, and platform integration
Experience in ServiceNow scripting including JavaScript, Angular JS, Bootstrap and Jelly Script
Experience with AI tools such as AWS Bedrock, AWS Sagemaker, Co-Pilot, and ServiceNow NOW Assist and Generative AI capabilities.
On-call flexibility, including unplanned and planned maintenance and outages
Experience using enterprise tools such as Visio or Lucid Chart, Teams, Confluence and Jira
Expertise in Web technologies such as Web Services, XML, HTML, CSS, HTTP, etc. (Preferred)
Experience working in a regulated environment within a global company (preferred)
Exceptional knowledge of ITIL processes or ServiceNow Admin/CMDB Certifications (preferred)
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
