Position Summary

The Service Technician at Envirosight supports customers at our Randolph, NJ location by providing technical service, diagnostics, repair, and expertise for Envirosight inspection systems. The position requires technical depth, professional judgment, and the ability to operate closely with internal teams to support customer satisfaction and business objectives.

Service and Technical Support

  • Perform on-site diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of complex electro-mechanical and software-integrated inspection systems.

  • Serve as an escalation point for advanced technical issues and customer-facing service concerns.

  • Accurately document service activities, root cause findings, and corrective actions.

Customer Support and Relationship Management

  • Act as a technical representative for customers  At our Randolph NJ location

  • Communicate basic technical concepts clearly to customers.

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with municipal, contractor, and utility customers.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve customer experience, equipment performance, and service outcomes.

Demonstrations and Sales Support

  • Conduct on-site product demonstrations and customer evaluations in support of sales activities.

  • Provide technical expertise during solution discussions that influence purchasing decisions.

  • Prepare, maintain, and transport demonstration equipment for customer visits and regional events.

  • Partner with sales to support revenue-generating opportunities while maintaining service priorities.

Training and Education

  • Provide hands-on customer training on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices.

  • Support customer onboarding and ensure proper system use and care.

  • Assist customers with basic software functionality related to inspection and reporting systems.

Field Operations

  • Maintain assigned tools, service inventory, & demo equipment.

Internal Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Communicate service trends, recurring issues, and customer feedback to internal service, sales, and product teams.

  • Provide input on service processes, product improvements, and training needs.

  • Participate in internal training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Level of Responsibility

  • Exercises professional judgment on decisions impacting customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue.

  • Represents the company in high-visibility customer interactions, demos, and evaluations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred; equivalent field experience accepted.

  • Minimum 2+ years experience in field service, technical support, or maintenance of complex electro-mechanical or industrial equipment.

  • Demonstrated experience working independently in customer-facing field environments.

  • Experience supporting product demonstrations or sales activities strongly preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic field equipment issues.

  • Proficient with computers, mobile devices, and service documentation tools.

  • Ability to quickly learn and support proprietary hardware and software systems.

Physical and Travel Requirements

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $48,000.00 - $72,000.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
