Service Manager

3-7-3 Shin-Yokohama, Kohoku-ku, Yokohama Full time

Tasks:

  • Leading and managing all tasks and activities of the service department and the service team.

  • Take responsibility for commercial numbers and targets, develop and execute strategies to grow service revenue and profitability.

  • Actively promote the Coperion aftermarket product portfolio, including spare parts sales, maintenance contracts, upgrades, etc.

  • Prioritize customer relationship management and satisfaction, understand customer needs to all relevant service topics.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.

  • Active involvement in technical troubleshooting and problem solving.

  • Manage inquiries to local partner and suppliers.

  • Report to and collaborate with Coperion headquarters and other Coperion affiliates.

  • Coordinate between headquarters and the customer.

  • Optimize processes and improve efficiency within the service department.

 

Qualifications and skills:

  • Degree in mechanical, electrical or process engineering.

  • Proven experience in a leading service role within a technical environment, preferable with plastic processing equipment or comparable.

  • Strong technical and process knowledge, with an understanding of automated systems.

  • Ability to demonstrate team leadership, motivate the team, take initiative, and drive success.

  • Understanding of technical and commercial data, with the ability to prepare detailed reports.

  • Proficient in MS Office programs and willing to learn Coperion-specific software, e.g. ERP systems.

  • Native Japanese speaker, fluent in English (written & spoken).

  • High willingness to travel within Japan and abroad as needed.
