Your part in our UnitingCare team
UnitingCare is seeking a Service Engagement Officer with a strong interest in service design and participant‑centred support. This role plays a key part in translating NDIS plans into thoughtfully designed, sustainable services that reflect participant goals, preferences, and funding arrangements.
You will work closely with participants, families, and internal service teams to co-design services, develop clear and compliant service agreements, and ensure supports are structured to deliver meaningful outcomes from day one.

Key Responsibilities
Service Design & Participant Engagement
Partner with participants and families to design personalised services aligned to their goals, preferences, and NDIS funding
Translate NDIS plans into practical, high‑quality service designs that can be delivered safely and sustainably
Provide clear information on UnitingCare service offerings and support participants to make informed choices
NDIS Planning, Quotes & Agreements
Develop service quotes and draft service agreements within approved NDIS budgets and pricing arrangements
Ensure all service designs comply with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits
Review and redesign services following plan reassessments and new funding approvals
Intake & System Enablement
Complete end‑to‑end participant intake, including information gathering, system set‑up and documentation
Create funding details and financial packages in MyCMS to enable rostering, billing, and budget tracking
Prepare high‑quality handovers to service delivery teams, ensuring clarity of service intent and design
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with Service Coordinators, Lead Practitioners, Scheduling and Workforce Planning to ensure service designs are deliverable
Monitor plan end dates and prompt service reviews to support continuity and outcomes
Identify opportunities to improve service design processes and participant experience
Represent UnitingCare at expos and community events as required
What makes a difference for us?
A 3‑year degree in Community Services, Disability, Mental Health, Business or Administration with relevant experience, or
substantial experience (5+ years) in a similar role
Strong understanding of the NDIS framework and how funding is translated into services
Demonstrated experience in designing or coordinating participant‑centred supports
High attention to detail with strong planning and organisational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
Approved NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current Driver’s Licence
