Server and Cloud Infrastructure Manager

WME is seeking a Server and Cloud Infrastructure Manager who will lead the design, implementation, and operational management of enterprise server and cloud platforms in a Microsoft-centric environment. This role ensures high availability, security, and scalability across on-premises and cloud infrastructure, driving modernization and automation initiatives to support business growth.

You should be a strategic, thoughtful, and savvy professional with a background in Information Technology and passion for the entertainment industries.

You must be detail-oriented, willing to do the work, possess exceptional relationship-building skills, and enjoy working in a highly iterative, agile and fast-paced environment. Must be flexible and able to move quickly from one subject to another.

The role will report to WME’s Head of IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity based in Beverly Hills, CA.

Role Summary:

·       The Server and Cloud Infrastructure Manager will lead the design, implementation, and operational management of enterprise server and cloud platforms in a Microsoft-centric environment. This role ensures high availability, security, and scalability across on-premises and cloud infrastructure, driving modernization and automation initiatives to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Define and execute infrastructure strategy for Windows Server, Azure, and Microsoft 365 ecosystems in addition to non Microsoft platforms.

    • Develop roadmaps for hybrid and cloud-first architectures aligned with security and compliance standards.

  • Operational Management:

    • Oversee lifecycle management of servers (on-prem and Azure), virtualization (Hyper-V, Nutanix, Cisco UCS), patching, and vulnerability remediation.

    • Manage Azure subscriptions, RBAC, policies, hybrid identity, and conditional access.

    • Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Defender for Cloud).

  • Automation & Optimization:

    • Implement infrastructure-as-code using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and automation frameworks.

    • Drive efficiency through scripting and orchestration for global server administration.

  • Cloud & Migration Projects:

    • Lead cross-tenant migrations for mail, file, identity, and collaboration workloads.

    • Partner with HR, Security, and Application teams to ensure seamless cutovers during acquisitions or divestitures.

  • Troubleshooting & Problem Management:

    •  Diagnose and resolve complex server and cloud infrastructure issues across Windows Server, Azure, and Microsoft 365 environments; lead root cause analysis, implement permanent fixes, and maintain detailed incident documentation to prevent recurrence.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Manage a team of Server and Cloud Engineers, providing mentorship and performance oversight.

    • Coordinate resources, vendors, and budgets for infrastructure projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 10+ years in Infrastructure Systems Engineering, with 7+ years in Windows Server and virtualization.

  • 5+ years implementing hybrid and full cloud solutions (Azure preferred).

  • Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Entra ID.

  • Expertise in PowerShell scripting and automation in Windows Server Core environments.

  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance in enterprise environments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect or equivalent.

  • Experience with Nutanix AHV/Prism and Cisco UCS platforms.

  • Familiarity with SaaS governance and integration.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.

    Requirements

    Managerial level experience in Information Technology  (5-10 years experience)

    Background in entertainment / media.

    Exceptional writing and storytelling skills

    Experience in client and executive relationship management

    Relationships with entertainment and music business outlets, spanning trade media and entertainment business contacts at newspapers, magazines, and digital outlets

Hiring Range Maximum Compensation: $145,000

Hiring Range Minimum Compensation: $108,750

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the hourly rate shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience.
