WHY DEPT®?

We are a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, we create what is next by pioneering ideas, acting fast, and moving further because standing still just is not in our DNA.

We are drawn to people who stay curious, move with intent, and never stop inventing. Our culture runs on three values: better together, relentlessly curious, and get sh*t done. It is how we work, how we grow, and how we make things that matter.

At DEPT®, you will find the freedom to explore, the space to collaborate, and the trust to make a real impact for our clients, for each other, and for the world we are helping to build.

THE ROLE:

As an SEO specialist, you are the day-to-day lead for organic strategy execution. You move beyond tactical support to independently managing account health, guiding Associates, and ensuring that technical, content, and authority strategies align with broader client business goals. In this role, you will lead our clients through the most significant shift in search history—transitioning from traditional SERP management to Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). You are comfortable navigating the complexities of AI search algorithms and translating data into actionable growth stories. You will be the primary contact for clients, ensuring their organic presence is not just maintained, but pioneering across all search surfaces.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop and oversee the execution of comprehensive SEO roadmaps that bridge traditional search with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), ensuring brand visibility in AI-driven results and LLMs.
  • Lead the strategy and execution of authority-building initiatives, utilizing advanced outreach and digital PR tactics to secure high-quality, relevant backlink profiles.
  • Serve as the technical lead for your accounts, performing deep-dive audits on JavaScript rendering, site architecture, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals to ensure peak crawlability and indexation.
  • Lead client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating complex SEO data—and the impact of AI search—as actionable business insights for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Content and Creative teams to ensure SEO best practices are baked into brand storytelling and digital experiences.
  • Mentor and review the work of SEO Associates, ensuring high-quality delivery and fostering their professional development.
  • Proactively monitor search engine algorithm updates and the evolving AI landscape, pivoting client strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Use data from tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and AI-tracking platforms to identify high-value opportunities for traffic and conversion optimization.

WHAT YOU BRING:

We’re open to see all different levels of experience.

  • Hands-on SEO experience, ideally within a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Deep expertise in Technical SEO—you are the person people come to when a site isn't indexing or rendering correctly. You understand the nuances of headless CMS, CSS/JS impact, and complex site migrations.
  • A proven track record of building brand authority through strategic outreach and link-acquisition programs.
  • Expertise in adapting search strategies for AI-driven ecosystems (SGE/AI Overviews) and a clear vision of how GEO differs from traditional SEO.
  • Mastery of the SEO tool ecosystem (e.g., Ahrefs, Semrush, Botify, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console).
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple workstreams and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Exceptional presentation skills; you can turn a spreadsheet into a compelling narrative that wins client trust.
  • A "better together" attitude, with experience or a strong desire to lead and mentor junior

TAKE INTO ACCOUNT:

  • You will have to communicate with your team members abroad, therefore fluency in English and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are a must for this role.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

  • We enjoy spending time together, working closely with other local colleagues, and getting to know one another. Our Buenos Aires offices (Villa Crespo or Mar del Plata) are fully equipped with refreshments and great common spaces!
  • Premium healthcare through OSDE for the employee and their immediate family members
  • Mendel prepaid card with a monthly allowance for grocery purchases
  • Monthly reimbursements for Wi-Fi/electricity expenses
  • Monthly reimbursements for training/English classes
  • 100% covered “Plan Total” membership at Sportclub
  • Access to a our benefits platform through Bonda
  • A flexible vacation policy
