Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Staff DevOps Engineer. This position can be located in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, Alabama and will support the Sentinel program.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
Plan and evolve processes and infrastructure to execute programs which support rapid saturation and deployment of capability while sustaining a stable security posture and incorporating ongoing internal stakeholder feedback.
Integrate development pipelines leveraging automation with test-driven development tools and continuous integration/test frameworks.
Implement provisioning and deployment techniques via packaging, componentizing, or Cloud distribution.
Execute agile principles to efficiently execute in an environment of continuous feedback. Ensure implementation of Software Configuration Management (SCM), code quality, and code coverage with automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Staff Engineer DevOps: 12 Years with Bachelor’s in related field of study, 10 Years with Masters, 08 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
• US Citizenship with Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
• Current Security + CE or CISSP (or other DoD 8570/8140 certification) or the ability to obtain within six months of employment or transition date.
• 4 years experience with build tools (i.e., Maven, Gradle, CMake) and continuous integration environments (i.e., GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps) and repositories (i.e.Nexus, Harbor).
• 4 years experience of Microsoft Windows/Server and Red Hat Linux operating systems and development tools.
• 4 years experience with scripting languages (i.e., Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell).
• 4 years experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (i.e., Terraform, Ansible, Packer).
• 4 years of DevOps experience with container technologies and orchestration in support of building and implementing CI/CD pipelines (i.e., Podman, Docker, Kubernetes, Podman Desktop, Docker Swarm mode).
• 4 years experience with source code configuration management tools (i.e git).
• 2 years experience with Jira/Confluence in an Agile environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with configuring and administering enterprise-class hardware (i.e., • Networking, Servers, Storage, Backup/Restore).
• Experience with configuring and administering private or hybrid cloud platforms (i.e., VMware VCF, Red Hat OpenShift).
•Experience with applying DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) specifications.
• Familiarity with container hardening and SBOM.
• Strong systems thinking skills.
• Proven ability to help solve problems and conflicts within teams.
• Detailed and team oriented with excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to hold team members accountable to complete work based on approved technical architecture, on schedule and within budget.
• Experience as a Product Owner or other technical leadership position in an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
