Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an experienced Product Systems Engineering Manager 3 for Command and Control systems engineering. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a record of successful project management in a product engineering environment. What You’ll Get To Do:

• Lead and mentor the Product Engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to define product requirements and specifications.

• Develop and implement engineering processes and standards to enhance product quality and efficiency.

• Oversee the design, development, and testing phases of new products, ensuring alignment with market needs and strategic goals.

• Manage the product lifecycle from conception to launch, conducting risk assessments and ensuring timely delivery of milestones.

• Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation and competitive advantage.

• Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.

• Manage MBSE products for development lifecycle; requires extensive MBSE knowledge base

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) field with 8 years of related experience or MS in STEM and 6 years related experience

• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope (< 6 years) , with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

• Experience managing people preferred

• EVMS/CAM experience

• Project management skills and experience with Agile methodology.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Master's Degree with 9 years of experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) preferably an Engineering degree

• Minimum of 3 years in a formal management position, managing one or more engineering teams

• Strong communication, cross-functional integration, and interpersonal skills, capable of working with various stakeholders.

• Proven performance as an Engineering Leader in all phases of acquisition, design, integration, and execution. Candidate will require ability to rapidly assess and lend guidance to projects assigned to the organizational group as well as demonstrated mentoring and guidance to engineers.

• Working knowledge and/or experience across engineering disciplines.

• Experience with distributed command and control systems engineering implementation

• Experience on ICBMs

• Experience creating or growing new sections or departments.

• Experience managing an engineering team

• Familiarity with Agile engineering and Jira

• Active TS Clearance

• Existing Sentinel Program Access

Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $250,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
