🌟 Senior Youth Case Manager – Motivate, Inspire, Transform 🌟

Location: Townsville – Rowes Bay AOD Services

Classification: SCHADS Level 5

Status: Full-time, Permanent (site-based with outreach)

Reports to: Client Services Lead

On‑call roster participation required

Are you a passionate person who thrives on empowering young people and supporting teams to deliver life‑changing outcomes? This is your opportunity to step into a pivotal role within The Salvation Army’s Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) services in Townsville.

As our Senior Youth Case Manager, you’ll be a key member of the Townsville service delivery team—guiding practice, shaping service delivery, and ensuring young people receive the highest standard of care across residential and outreach programs.

 Why This Role Matters

You’ll be at the heart of a dynamic service supporting young people on their recovery journey. Your mentorship will directly influence the quality of case management across Youth Residential, Youth Outreach, and pre/post‑residential pathways. You’ll also coordinate outpost services in Ayr, Ingham, and Charters Towers, helping ensure young people in regional communities have access to consistent, high‑quality support.

How you will make an impact:

  • Providing client‑centred supervision, coaching, and professional support to case managers.
  • Leading the day‑to‑day coordination of case management across residential, outreach, and recovery support programs.
  • Strengthening integration between case managers and support workers to create seamless service experiences.
  • Building strong internal partnerships with TSA programs including FDV, youth, and homelessness services.
  • Supporting the Client Services Lead and Townsville Centre Manager with additional leadership duties as required.

 What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who is both compassionate and confident—someone who leads with purpose and thrives in a fast‑paced AOD environment.

You’ll bring:

  • A degree in social work, social sciences, or a related field (highly regarded).
  • Demonstrated mentorship capability, including staff supervision and team development.
  • Experience in AOD residential case management (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills and digital literacy.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • A current Working with Children Check – Blue Card (or ability to obtain).
  • A current driver’s licence.
