Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Windows Systems Administrator to join our infrastructure team. This role is responsible for the design, administration, and continuous improvement of enterprise Windows platforms, primarily hosted in AWS, with supporting services across on-premises and Microsoft cloud environments.
As a senior, journey-level professional, you will work independently on systems with significant operational impact, apply sound technical judgment to complex issues, and contribute to improving the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of Windows-based infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cloud, security, and application teams and provide guidance to less experienced administrators.

Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, operate, and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments across AWS and on-prem platforms.
Administer and support Active Directory and core identity services, including domain controllers, replication, and site topology.
Manage Windows Server workloads in AWS, including:
EC2 provisioning and lifecycle management
AMI-based deployments
Storage and volume management
Directory integrations with Active Directory
Administer DNS and DHCP services, ensuring availability, performance, and proper configuration.
Support and maintain Microsoft Exchange environments, including:
Exchange Online and on-prem Exchange (2016, 2019, Subscription Edition)
Mailbox migrations, management, and troubleshooting
Manage enterprise Windows file services, including DFS Namespaces, permissions, and storage.
Develop and maintain PowerShell automation to improve operational efficiency and system reliability.
Implement and maintain patching and update management using WSUS and related tooling.
Monitor system health and performance; troubleshoot and resolve complex Windows infrastructure issues.
Participate in incident, change, and problem management processes using ServiceNow.
Collaborate with cloud, security, and application teams to ensure secure and reliable platform operations.
Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., copilots, scripting assistants, operational analysis tools) to improve automation, troubleshooting efficiency, documentation quality, and overall operational effectiveness.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure processes, standards, and documentation.
Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to junior team members.
Participate in on-call support rotations as required.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
5+ years of hands-on experience administering Windows Server in enterprise environments.
Extensive experience with Active Directory, including:
Domain controller health and replication
Sites and Services topology
Directory-level troubleshooting (including ADSI Edit)
Strong experience with Windows Server 2016–2025.
Deep understanding of Windows DNS, including:
AD-integrated zones
Forward and reverse lookup zones
Zone transfers, scavenging, and record aging
Strong experience with Windows DHCP, including load balancing, failover, and scope management.
Experience managing large-scale Windows file servers, including DFS Namespaces and share administration.
Extensive PowerShell scripting experience, including advanced automation and troubleshooting.
Preferred experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts and tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation), including the ability to review, modify, or contribute to infrastructure definitions in support of Windows-based workloads.
Experience supporting Microsoft Exchange:
Exchange Online and on-prem Exchange administration
Mailbox migration and lifecycle management
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including licensing and Entra Connect (AD Sync).
Strong hands-on experience with AWS as a primary cloud platform, including Windows EC2 management.
Familiarity with ServiceNow for incident, change, and ticket management.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
AI & Automation (Required Familiarity)
Familiarity with using AI-assisted tools in daily work, such as:
Script generation or refinement (e.g., PowerShell assistance)
Troubleshooting and log analysis
Documentation and knowledge discovery
Ability to evaluate AI-generated output for accuracy, security, and operational suitability.
Willingness to adopt emerging tools and practices to improve efficiency and system reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Virtual Machines, Resource Groups, and Storage services.
Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, including user, group, and enterprise application management.
Experience using SolarWinds for monitoring, alerting, and reporting.
Familiarity with WSUS, patch reporting, and patch compliance processes.
Experience supporting hybrid (on-prem and cloud) infrastructure environments.
Relevant AWS or Microsoft certifications.
Additional Information
Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM IST (first shift), supporting global platform operations.
On-Call Support: Participation in a shared, rotational on-call schedule is required.
