Job Title: Senior UXD Designer

Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)

Business & Team: Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) provides financial solutions to some of Australia’s largest organisations and global institutions. The CommBiz platform is our flagship digital servicing solution for business customers, enabling secure, intuitive, and efficient banking experiences. This role will help shape the future of CommBiz and other IB&M initiatives by delivering world-class UI and product design.

Impact & Contribution: You’ll join a collaborative product design chapter, working closely with the CommBiz UI team, UX designers, and front-end engineers. Your focus will be on high-fidelity UI design delivery, while still contributing to end-to-end product design. You’ll help evolve our enterprise design system, champion accessibility, and craft elegant solutions that balance customer needs with business goals.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Deliver pixel-perfect, high-fidelity UI designs ready for engineering handover.

• Apply visual design principles (typography, colour, layout) and interaction design (flows, usability).

• Incorporate motion design and micro-interactions to enhance user experience.

• Ensure compliance with WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.

• Manage end-to-end design delivery for complex, multi-platform experiences.

• Drive data-informed design decisions using analytics and research insights.

• Collaborate with cross-functional squads (design, engineering, product) to deliver scalable solutions.

• Contribute to design system evolution and ensure consistency across platforms.

• Mentor and coach peers, fostering a culture of design excellence.

• Participate in design critiques, workshops, and agile ceremonies.

• Advocate for customer-centricity and accessibility at every stage.

Essential Skills:

• 7+ years of experience designing digital products end-to-end, with strong UI expertise.

• Proven ability to create functional, high-fidelity prototypes and polished interfaces.

• Expertise in Figma, design tokens, and prototyping tools; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

• Experience with design systems, style guides, and motion design.

• Strong understanding of human-centred design and accessibility standards.

• Familiarity with data-driven design practices and metrics-driven iteration.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers for handover and QA.

• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and technical collaboration.

• A portfolio showcasing UI craft, interaction design, and measurable impact.

• Degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or related field.

Education Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
