In this role, you will help deliver high-impact planning projects that shape the future of mobility across GTR communities, including multimodal network and corridor plans, complete streets and Vision Zero strategies, transit integration, and transit-oriented development (TOD) planning.

This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work from any Parsons GTR office and remotely. The position requires regular collaboration across GTR offices and travel to project sites throughout the GTA, with occasional travel within Canada and potential travel to the U.S. as needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead or support transportation planning projects, including multimodal corridor and network plans, complete streets and Vision Zero strategies, transit and active transportation plans, and station area/TOD planning.
  • Prepare key project deliverables including existing conditions analysis, alternatives evaluation, reports, and implementation strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, engineers, GIS analysts, and engagement specialists to deliver projects on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian transportation planning standards and policies, including TAC guidance and provincial and municipal frameworks.
  • Support business development and proposal preparation, including technical approaches, level-of-effort estimates, schedules, and team structures.
  • Partner with Program Managers and BD teams on capture strategies, proposals, and client presentations.
  • Contribute to public and stakeholder engagement, including workshops, open houses, surveys, and presentations.
  • Translate complex technical analysis into clear, accessible reports, graphics, and presentations.
  • Utilize planning tools such as GIS, scenario planning platforms, and analytics dashboards to support data-driven decision making.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Urban/Regional Planning, Civil or Transportation Engineering, Geography, or a related field (Master’s in Planning or Transportation preferred).
  • RPP/MCIP designation or eligibility strongly preferred; P.Eng. considered an asset.
  • 8–12+ years of transportation planning experience, ideally within a consulting environment and with experience in the GTA or Ontario.
  • Experience delivering multimodal corridor/network plans, transportation master plans, transit and active transportation strategies, and station area or TOD studies.
  • Familiarity with GIS tools, mobility data analytics platforms, GTFS datasets, and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of travel demand modeling tools such as EMME, Visum, or TransCAD and dashboard platforms such as Power BI or Tableau considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical, report writing, and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex planning projects.
