What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Cardiac Senior Scrub Practitioner to join our Theatre team, with a salary of up to £56,678.84 depending on experience.

This is a Monday-Saturday, Days and Weekends role with the following shift patterns:

  • Monday to Friday between 07:30 and 20:30

  • Saturdays between 07:30 and 18:00 

The post-holder will also be required to work on-call

We have eight state-of-the-art theatres covering our Surgical Institutes including a hybrid theatre, robotic theatre and Intraoperative MRI facilities. We cover many specialties including Cardiovascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Spinal, Orthopaedic, Plastics, General Surgery, Urology and Gynaecology. As a member of our state-of-the-art perioperative department, you will work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide safe, effective, efficient care for patients and relatives.

What will your duties include?

  • Promote and participate in an effective communication dialogue with colleagues and other members of the multi-disciplinary team within Theatres, including Scrubs, Anesthetic and PACU nurses and Support Caregivers.

  • Demonstrate clinical expertise in the care of any patients receiving treatment in the department.

  • Act as a mentor to junior practitioner, responsible for the orientation, supervision and ongoing development of junior and student learners, in conjunction with Team Leader Theatre Educator.

  • Manage the clinical workload effectively, ensuring care is prioritised appropriately.

What we need from you?

  • Suitable experience as a Senior Cardiac Scrub Practitioner required.

  • Nursing or ODP registration through the Nursing & Midwifery Council (First Level) (NMC) or Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) required.

  • Post-registration qualification relevant to functional specialty i.e. Scrub Practitioner required.
