We’re looking for a Senior Test Design Engineer (or above) to serve as a technical linchpin for our growing UK team. This isn't just about passing or failing—it’s about designing the systems that ensure excellence from concept to launch.

Your day-to-day impact:

  • Architect Innovation: Develop cutting-edge test concepts and designs using the industry’s best tools.

  • Full-Spectrum Ownership: Lead design creation, analysis, and verification across the entire product lifecycle.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Partner with cross-functional teams to bridge the gap between "it works on paper" and "it thrives in the real world."

  • Drive Efficiency: Champion a Lean Sigma culture, hunting down waste and optimizing processes like a pro.

  • Documentation Excellence: Ensure every project is backed by comprehensive, high-quality documentation that meets rigorous standards.

Who You Are

You’re a high-energy problem solver who understands that "quality" is a mindset, not just a department. You thrive in fast-paced environments and have a deep-seated passion for the full product realization process.

The Essentials:

  • The Credentials: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).

  • The Experience: 10+ years in test design engineering. You’ve been around the block, and you know where the potholes are.

  • The Toolkit: Mastery of LabVIEW and TestStand is a must.

  • The Expertise: Proven success with automated test systems, functional testing, and environmental stress testing.

  • The Mindset: A black-belt-level grasp of Lean Sigma principles and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Bonus Points For:

  • A natural ability to build strong relationships with both team members and customers.

  • Expertise in structured design and a "cross-discipline" vocabulary.

  • A love for the lab—comfort with high-end measurement equipment and diagnostic tools.

The "Must-Haves"

Due to the high-stakes nature of our projects, candidates must hold UK nationality or be eligible (and willing) to undergo UK national security vetting and clearance.

Why Plexus?

We offer more than just a desk and a paycheck. We offer the chance to work on diverse, complex projects that challenge your brain every single day. If you’re ready to lead, innovate, and elevate the standard of engineering in the UK, we want to talk to you.
