  • HEW 6 ($93,891 - $101,633) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements

About the role 

The Senior Technology & Operations Officer is a key member of the fast‑paced College of Business and Law Operations Team. This tech‑specialist role is responsible for creating and managing engaging thematic experiences for students, staff and visitors across College technology platforms – including digital screens, projection mapping, holograms and robots. 

 

You will program and operate our technology assets for events (e.g. Open Day, Town Halls), including scripting and delivering content for holograms, robots and other displays, as well as supporting video and social media projects. You will also provide responsive administrative and customer support across COBL buildings, contribute to Health, Safety and Wellbeing (including OHS‑related digital artefacts), and help uplift staff capability through user guides and training. 

 

We are looking for someone who is “native” in technology – curious, hands‑on and comfortable experimenting with new tools. We welcome applications from recent graduates and those with non‑traditional experience who can demonstrate strong technical aptitude and an enthusiasm for innovative content and technologies. 

 

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:  

  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging visual content

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to learn bespoke content software

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and be agile when managing requests/ workflow in a challenging and dynamic environment

  • Ability to consult and interact effectively with all levels of the organisation and develop strong business partnerships internally

  • Analytical skills, including data analysis. Proven ability to independently analyse and interpret a wide range of information from varying sources, to make rational decisions, and to be creative and flexible in managing complex problems

  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery  

  • Contemporary knowledge and demonstrated experience of digital and online media and technologies  

  • Ability to work collaboratively, positively and flexibly as an active team member as well as independently to achieve results

About the College 

As one of the largest Business Schools in the Asia Pacific region, the College of Business and Law is comprised of six schools – five in Melbourne and one in Vietnam - delivering a broad range of programs in Business, ranging from Certificates up to PHD levels. Many programs articulate between Vocational Education and Higher Education, creating pathways for further study. RMIT Business programs are delivered in Melbourne, Vietnam, Singapore, Shanghai and Jakarta, as well as through Open Universities Australia (OUA) and RMIT Online.
