About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Technology Business Services Consultant
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in providing technology initiatives for simple to moderately complex business problems within technology business systems
- Contribute to the development of systems and procedures that are both cost effective and meet the relevant business requirements
- Evaluate moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of planning and direction conducted to resolve complex business problems
- Partner with business and technology teams to evaluate moderately complex business problems and lead a team to provide comprehensive technological solutions
- Act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition or improvement to re-engineer technical processes
- Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to evaluate and resolve issues in order to provide technological solutions and manage both project schedules and deliverables
- Coordinate communication and information flow between business and technology teams
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong years of experience in Technology Resiliency, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Disaster Recovery (DR), and IT Service Management (ITSM) functions.
- Strong understanding of enterprise resiliency frameworks, including BCP, DR lifecycle management, crisis management, and operational recovery.
- Hands‑on experience with ITIL v3/v4 practices, particularly Incident, Problem, Change, Availability, Capacity, and Continuity Management.
- Proven ability to perform Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessment across infrastructure, applications, and business processes.
- Experience designing, coordinating, and validating DR strategies and recovery objectives (RTO/RPO) for large‑scale environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to resiliency (ISO 22301, ISO 27001, SOC, SOX, etc.).
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working across application teams, infrastructure, security, risk, and business leaders.
- Ability to analyze system dependencies, identify single points of failure, and recommend resiliency improvements.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills to create and maintain policies, runbooks, playbooks, and executive‑level reporting.
- Relevant certifications preferred (ITIL, ISO 22301, COBIT, AWS/Azure DR certifications, PMP or similar).
Job Expectations:
- Lead and execute technology resiliency and BCP initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and business priorities.
- Drive BCP and DR lifecycle management, including planning, testing, execution, validation, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with IT and business teams to conduct BIAs, define recovery strategies, and document critical system dependencies.
- Coordinate and manage DR and BCP testing exercises, tabletop simulations, and lessons‑learned activities.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL processes, supporting operational stability, incident resilience, and service restoration effectiveness.
- Act as a senior escalation point during major incidents or crisis events, supporting root cause analysis and resilience gaps identification.
- Develop and maintain BCP/DR documentation, standards, metrics, and management dashboards for leadership reporting.
- Identify risk trends and resiliency weaknesses, providing practical remediation recommendations to technology leadership.
- Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal risk assessments related to business continuity and technology resiliency.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to process maturity, automation, and tooling enhancements within the resiliency function.
